As an infant, Director and Principal Engineer, David Beard, rejected his teddy bear and dragged around a length of wire. He now holds a degree in Electronics Engineering (Comms) and spends most of his time working for an electronic engineering company in Melbourne. In his spare time, he's forever tinkering; building or fixing something, or dismantling things for parts! He unwinds by walking at street orienteering events, participating in amateur radio fox (transmitter) hunting and maintaining his 14 acre property.

In textiles class at school, Consultant, Marta Salek, sewed the definition for the imaginary unit "i" into the fabric. She now holds an MSc, majoring in mathematics, worked as a software engineer for many years and is currently completing a nursing degree - just for something different. She is webmaster for the Victorian Amateur Radio Direction Finding Group (http://www.ardf.org.au), and enjoys orienteering, ARDF, fox hunting and permaculture.
